Char, if you ever want someone to talk to, I am here for you. Your description of what it feels like to lose a son certainly hits home for me. I'm about 3 years further down this road of grief over the loss of a son. My James was only 8 so hadn't written all that much in his young life but I treasure anything I can find that is in his words and his handwriting. Dusty sounds like a funny guy! Maybe he and James are hanging out in Heaven cracking jokes and having fun. We'll get to join them when our work here is done. Love, Michele Curtin

I've been a friend of Char and of Tom after they met. My favorite memory of Dusty was when his mom brought him and Andy to my farm in Minnesota and he rode a horse named Rusty. Boy was he and Andy ever excited over that! He was about 8 years old at the time, and already you could see the beginnings of a very sensitive, intelligent and thoughtful person. God rest his soul!

I look forward to visiting this site often, and reading more words written by Dusty, so I may continue to get to know him.

Dust, We miss your brilliant smile, your shining blue eyes and your cutting wit. My next project is to publish your writing on this site. I love you forever, baby boy. Mom
